Needle-felting continues

This week at the HAHC Craft Cafe we carried on with our needle felt landscapes and, with so many new faces, we will be doing another needle felting session next week so everyone who has started a landscape gets the chance to finish and have a go at a different needle felting project!

After that we will be doing a bead making session on the 10th of February.

Don’t forget that all abilities are welcome at the Craft Cafe and that it is free to attend! Join us at the HAHC 10:30 every Monday during term time and learn a new craft with us.

A Christmas Carol

On a cold winters night (14th December), the Christmas Spirit was awoken at the Harwich Arts and Heritage Centre!

With mulled wine, mince pies and laughter in their hearts, the audience listened attentively to Anthony Roberts as a he recited Charles Dickens classic, A Christmas Carol.

In the interval Anthony asked how different today’s Britain is to Dickensian Britain, “I wonder what Scrooge would think of today’s food banks?”

Anthony Roberts performance of A Christmas Carol charmed the audience and many people left wondering how he could recite the novel of by heart! This fund raiser left the audience in merry spirits with everyone wishing one another a merry Christmas. It was truly a delight to see how this performance awoke the Christmas spirit.
